Research Institute for Building Materials (VUSTAH) is a private development organisation working more than 70 years in the field of building materials and related problematic.
Our institute is or was the main investigator or project participant of research projects co-financed by Ministry of Industry and Trade – MIT, Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports – MEYS, Technology Agency – TACR and Czech Science Foundation – GACR and by innovation vouchers in regions of Czech Republic. VUSTAH also participates in international projects and tenders.
VUSTAH is one from few research organizations that fulfils the requirements of standards ČSN EN ISO 9001:2009, ČSN EN ISO 14001:2005 and OHSAS 18001:2008.
Beside others, VUSTAH is also member of AVO (Association of Research Organizations), DSIA (Defence and Security Industry Association of the Czech Republic) and also participates in project Green Company focused on environmentally friendly disposal of small electrical and electronic appliances.
Our vision is to be stable and professional research organization, oriented above all on applied research and development in the field of silicate materials and on implementing new and innovated technologies, especially in key branches of building industry, environment, power industry and safety.
Our company’s mission is to enhance the competitiveness of the Czech Republic through effective research and development for our present and future partners and through the implementation of new technologies and products with the emphasis on sustainable development.
